What
Three types of brown spots can be removed at the clinic, namely sun spots (solar lentigines), age spots (liver spots) and seborrheic warts (seborrheic keratosis).
Where
Sun spots and age spots typically appear in areas where there has been a lot of sun exposure. Seborrheic warts, on the other hand, usually appear on the head, neck, chest or back.
Why
All of these lesions are caused by either sun exposure and/or age. Genetic factors also come into play, especially with seborrheic warts.
